About Fanfare

I have always loved animals and competition. As a teenager I showed quarter horses. When I moved out on my own I wanted to continue to be involved with animals on a smaller and more affordable level. In 1990 I purchased my first dog, an American Cocker Spaniel, whom I called Kate. She became my first AKC Champion and I was hooked! For the next five years I showed American Cockers, but decided that I prefer to spend more time conditioning my dogs bodies then their coat! After some research it become clear the whippet was for me.
I acquired my first whippet in 1995 and have since bred numerous AKC Champions, Specialty winners, a multiple Best in Show Winner and several top twenty contenders. Several Fanfare dogs have achieved their ASFA field champions and CWA racing titles.
Fanfare whippets is located in central Wisconsin. Occasionally we will have a litter with companion and show puppies available. Please know that we consider a fenced yard a basic requirement for adopting a Fanfare whippet.
